Daniel Thomas “Danny” Kelleher, A resident of Larchmont, passed away on July 9, 2014 at the age of 38. He was born on August 9, 1975 in Grosse Pointe, MI. Daniel worked as a Paralegal for Various Law firms in the area. Daniel is survived by his parents Helen and Peter Kelleher, three Brothers, Peter Kelleher, John Kelleher (Patricia Marino) and Dennis Kelleher , and a sister, Mary Ellen Kelleher. Sandra J. D’Albis, a life-long Eastchester resident, passed away at her home on July 9, 2014, at the age of 76, after a lengthy illness. Sandra was born at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville on December 28, 1937 to the late Kathleen (McCormack) and William Tucker. Sandra was a graduate of Eastchester High School and she worked for many years as an administrative assistant at the Westchester Medical Center. An avid boxing fan who could effortlessly recite the champions and top contenders in any weight class, Sandra waged a hard-fought and courageous battle against liver cancer for more than two years. While her loved ones had hoped for a victory or even a draw, her opponent was just too strong and relentless. Sandra was also extremely passionate about animals and was responsible for rescuing dozens of feral cats. Beloved wife of the late Joseph D’Albis (NRPD). Loving and devoted mother of Robert (Jean) Prisco and Geoffrey Prisco. Cherished grandmother and extraordinary spoiler of Sami Prisco, Lexi Prisco, Bobby Prisco and J.T. Prisco. Dear sister of Barbara (Robert) Westerlund. A private burial with family members in attendance will take place on July 15th. Ellen Jane Tamilio, Longtime resident of Eastchester passed away on July 12, 2014 at the age of 65. She was born in Bronxville, NY on July 22, 1948 to the late Edward John and Cecelia (Monaghan) Tierney. Ellen worked for many years as a case manager for the New York State Insurance Fund, and also taught part time for more than 20 years at the night school GED at A.B. Davis School in Mt. Vernon. Ellen is survived by her sisters, Catherine Tierney, Maureen Melton and a brother Edward F. Tierney (Sue) and his family. She is also survived by her dear friends and neighbors. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband Richard Tamilio in 2011. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. Sandor Balint
Sandor Balint, a resident of Bronxville passed away on July 13, 2014 at the age of 86. He was born in Bridgeport, CT and moved with his family to NYC a month later, where he grew up in the South Bronx and East Harlem. He started violin lessons at the age of seven and subsequently entered Music and Art High School. In his third year at Music and Art, at the age of seventeen, he auditioned and won a position with Leonard Bernstein, who was forming the New York City Symphony. With Bernstein”s recommendation, he auditioned for the NYC Opera and Ballet where he stayed until joining the Met in 1956. In addition, in 1950 he auditioned for Leopold Stowkowski and was made a permanent member of the RCA Victor Recording Orchestra. Sandor Balint made his recital debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1956 and concertised until he was invited to audition for the Met Opera Orchestra in December 1956, He was first elected to the Ochestra Committee in 1959, served in contract signings in 1961, ”66, and ”69. He was elected as Chairman for contract negotiations from 1977 through 2000. Up until his death he was still an active member of the Met”s first violin section. Sandor is survived by his wife, Joyce Balint, and his cousins, Nancy Teseny Fallon and Richard Teseny. Along with his parents, Theodore and Aranka Arnoldussen, he was predeceased by his twin sister Jeanette Arnoldussen. The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. Eastchester. Michael Sebastian Leone, age 66, beloved husband of Charmane Czarny Leone, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2014. Michael was born in Bronxville, NY on March 31, 1948, to Helen Leone and Sebastian Leone. He graduated from Tyler School of Art at Temple University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and was a partner in Conrad Studios and Luft/Leone Design in CT for 38 years. He lived in Woodbridge, CT for 27 years and recently retired in Kent, CT. Michael was a talented artist and designer. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed photography, gardening, animals and nature. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his devoted wife, Michael is survived by his mother Helen Leone, his sisters, Jeanne Longhitano, Michele Capolino, Sally Tripodi, Lynn Leone, Mariann Leonelli, and nine nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Sebastian Leone. After a courageous 10 month battle with a terribly aggressive leukemia, Robert N. Santucci of Bronxville, NY died on July 25, 2014 at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, CT. Bob was born October 22, 1966 in White Plains, NY to Robert F. Santucci and the late Barbara R. Santucci, longtime residents of Tuckahoe, NY. Bob’s father was a firefighter in Eastchester, NY on the force for 35 years. Bob attended Eastchester High School and graduated in 1984. He then continued his education at Pace University and graduated in 1988 and had a career as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley in Purchase, NY. Bob married the love of his life Lisa Claro in 1996 and they had three beautiful and truly amazing children: Melissa (13), Nicholas (10), and Ashlynn (7). Bob is survived by his father Bob; his sister Kathy Santucci , her son Rob; his sister Karen Santucci, her husband Dominic Roca, their children Vito and Bobbi; his brother in law Anthony Claro and his daughter Gianna; his sister in law Catherine Bennett and her husband Greg and their children Kyle and Caitlynn; and his in laws Terry and Manny Claro of Brewster, NY. Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, son, friend, colleague and football coach who adored his wife, family, friends and team. Edward Micola, 74, of Carmel died on July 31, 2014, He was born in Bronxville son of the late Lucille Rescigno and Ernest Micola. Ed lived in Eastchester and Rye before moving to Carmel last year.
